This author writes so beautifully I can't imagine hating anything he's published. This story wasn't my favorite, but it so completely described and endeared the two principal characters that I can't hold the rest of the plot against him. His story is a throw-back to being on the cusp of innocence, and eventually realizing how things would have been different if you reacted differently in one explosive moment. On Chesil Beach, everything changes for these two characters and yet, life goes on.
